Peace and suffering

Dear ones,

Romans 5 says "we can rejoice in our hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but we also rejoice in in our sufferings because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character, and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us."

It's almost as if this long domino chain from suffering into entering His peace is what each one of us can look to. So often, we stop at our suffering, believing that suffering is a mindless exercise. Are you in a place where the heat of your adversity is putting a full stop to your hope? Look to God again...look up. He is the giver of ALL hope.

Hi Gary,

A thankful heart does wonders for me: it puts me in a place of humility, increases my faith and allows me to watch expectantly for God to shine through my circumstances. It also gives me patience to persevere until God shows up. He always does.
