Winter wonderland in Surrey BC
It snowed, and snowed and snowed. School's out and I was asked to refrain from going into the office because of the icy conditions. There's something so incredibly beautiful about snow. It reminds me of Switzerland, of a warm one-room apartment and lots of hot chocolate. Here's what our backyard looks like.

Evangelizing in Coquitlam Mall
What an amazing time to step out and share our faith. This is where the rubber meets the road. Here we were 8 people who wanted to see where God would take us. We wore orange fellowship bands with "You Just Never Know" on it, and sure enough, God showed us who was ready. A pregnant lady,Lisa (from China, along with her husband Sean, and her daughter and her mother) were just at the mall soaking in the air-conditioning. Janet Hu and I started a conversation with her using the Four Spiritual Laws in Chinese and 25 mins later, she was ready and willing to say the prayer with us. It was amazing to see that God was long at work in Lisa's life since she had arrived in Canada 5 years ago! This was an incredible experience for me to hear that she was ready to receive Jesus but didn't know how. Praise the Lord for my co-workers, who spoke to Iranians, Iraqis, young Canadian men, even a mormon lady from HK. May the Lord establish and bless the work and the words of these wiling vessels!

Peace and suffering
Dear ones,
Romans 5 says "we can rejoice in our hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but we also rejoice in in our sufferings because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character, and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us."
It's almost as if this long domino chain from suffering into entering His peace is what each one of us can look to. So often, we stop at our suffering, believing that suffering is a mindless exercise. Are you in a place where the heat of your adversity is putting a full stop to your hope? Look to God again...look up. He is the giver of ALL hope.
